This is all I can find so far...this is shamelessly stollen from another forum:

These are a forthcoming line of AWD models from the Aero R/C line (which sell for around $10 for the current 2wd versions).

http://www.takaratomy.co.jp/products/drift_pkg/spec.htm

Clearly awd (one way front diff), twin motors, lots on interesting mod possibilites as I see it. Not propo, it's amazing that they've managed to come up with such an effective non-propo drifter.

3675 Yen = About $30.

Some of the people there were talking about using real electronics to make them propo...at about $30 it sounds like a plan. Maybe even one or two of the $10 2wd's. Now I just have to find a US distributor. :???: I'll watch the usual suspects...toys east, hobblink, ebay...

Since its shaft driven, I have to assume the front motor is for the steering. Its 1/25th scale so a propo conversion should be no problem. :???:
...crazy man, crazy...dig it.

You know, I was kind of skeptical when I read the page and saw the construction, but after watching the longer video on the website - I'm stoked for these! I'm really looking forward to these little guys coming out. Did anyone know what then meant when they showed the front tire angles? They showed that little green wedge. I'm re-inspired to start drifting with my xmod again and go smaller.

Has anyone heard anything about these...or learned to read Japanese? All I know is they are releasing in July.
