Great find! UH, does this have anything to do with your new crawler build? Like maybe something to mount on that plate?

No, not really, but I've got a couple of Johnny Lightening Landcruisers that I'd love to make into r/cs. The worm gear drives look like they might have some real potential.

Any idea where you'd find a 35mhz or 40mhz TX? Maybe ebay Germany?

Re: TTTT parts.... IN ENGLISH!
Careful! This shop is well known in our german forum and had some very bad feedback recently... some people lost quite a lot of money by ordering and never getting their parts! Myself got some small parts once a few years ago, all went well, second time I ordered, I made a mistake, didn't pay and tried to reach them by email, never got an answer... even though I wanted to change the order for more expensive parts.
If you're still interested, they've got an ebayshop on ebay.de (Germany). And of course, you'll find tons of transmitters in both frequencies there.

Thanks for the warning.
I am still waiting for an order from a Chinese store (bestofferbuy.com) I'd hate to get burned twice in a row.
Are there any reliable TTT stores that you know of? I'm not sure I will ever build one but it would be nice to have access to the tiny RX and TX for a tiny vintage Alfa I've been wanting to build. I can't seem to find a small enough receiver to fit the plan I originally had.

Re: TTTT parts.... IN ENGLISH!
This one's not bad:
http://www.bidproduct.com
Got some receivers and crystals there. Reliable and fast shipment (considering the distance from China to Europe...)
And this one for the rest:
http://www.1zu87modellbau.de - it's german though (bad for the spelling, better for quality...
)
Just found another one, which also has English translation:

Cool
Thanks, I've really been wanting to build an Alfa Romeo 8C 2300, but I haven't been able to find a reciever small enough to stay in the 1/64 scale range.
