Opened the 57mhz. Couldn't get the battery cover screw to thread back in. Maybe this was kinda dumb, but without further inspection, I tried to charge and race. Nope. Friggin' lights on the controller comin' on all weird and stuff.
What's that? I hear something inside the controller when I lightly shake it. Open it up to find the battery cover screw floating around in there. I can see where they, ummmm, 'melt?' the plastic to set the screw in place.
Still curious, opened another, this one was okay. Charged and raced. Took the new batts out after the 1st time, in fact , I clearly remember saying outloud, even though I was by myself, "what a f**kin P.O.S."
On a positive note, 4 extra body, tire, 2.2 motor and setting parts set come with the deal. I put the 2.2's in my MSPros, and the torque is great.
I'm able to climb inclines on my bit stunt-track WITHOUT the TurboBoost engaged, something I couldn't do before on some hills.
As far as modding the bodies or chassis, I'm afraid I'm still too much a novice to comment on anything in those departments.
I've said this before elsewhere, but I seriously think I wouldn't be here if these, dare I give them the honor of calling them 'bits', were my 1st experience.
