I've been playin wit my super bit and I'm not all that happy.
The car has a glitch of sorts where it'll get stuck in the last move, like keeps going forward or turning when the buttons aren't bein pressed. I still don't know why, is it pcb related or the buttons them selves on the controller. Speakin of buttons, The 2 freakin buttons on top, wtf do they do? I remember hearing something about steering concerning those buttons but haven't noticed anything. The controller is a major improvement on the old one but I hate being teased with buttons that don't do anything. The bodies look hot, real freakin good, but the lambo rides too high and it's a lil tight for lowering, can be done though. I definatly love the front knuckles. This is the way all cars should be done. I opened up the chassis and found that they made it even tighter inside. The pcb cover is cool though, no more snapping the lil tabs trying to get the cover off. They're still knoting up the ant though even though the cover has a cool ass system built in to hold the ant. I'm also pissed off at the coloring of the steering wires, even harder to see now that they're a dark color blue almost black.
I'll definatly hold off on getting anymore of these super bits. I'll wait for the 2buttons on top to be explained first. I hope they don't try to sell me another chassis booster upgrade kit just so that I can use those buttons. That would be assy of tomy to do, especially since the zip 2.0s are supposed to be coming out in a month or so. If the 2.0 is what it's reported to be then I'm saying bye bye to tomy, unless they come out with some cool body I gotta have.

Yeah, there's been some major BS floating around about these two buttons. I'm waiting on my 911 to arrive from toyeast. When it does I'm gonna attempt to reverse engineer the sucker to find out what those buttons do. Once and for all.sessiz wrote:Speakin of buttons, The 2 freakin buttons on top, wtf do they do? DT, could you please take a photo of the TX pcb from above? (ie birdseye view) I'd like to see what IC they are using, eg, TX2, TX6, etc.....Thanks...

I'll try to get it done tonight.
Sezz, you can lower the rear of the Lambo, just slide the rear chassis tab a lil further up in the body. There's another notch in there that will allow this. Drops the rear and gives the car a whole new look.
I know what you mean by the car keeps running after you let off the button. Mine does the same thing. I don't have that problem with my 40mhz's, only the 27mhz ????

I got the Porsche 911 (27Mhz, Chan B) and here's my observations:
. Front and back rims are equal in diameter
. Tyres are softs, not med's like original bcg
. Range is shithouse, like less than 3 meters (6ft)
. Last command is "remebered" when gioing out of range (as stated above)
. Car keeps it's charge very well. I can pickup where I left off from hours ago and the car still runs.
. Can't do an internal dual cell to the chassis due to a smaller body cavity.
My overall view is that it is shit. Save your money and just get the pullbacks for the shells.

I'm kinda regreting ordering the Super Bits, even before I read the poor reviews, because I was going to hold out for the new Zip Zaps.
But I think I'll still be happy, because I was originally going to order some LXX cars, just to get the different frequencies, and at least I'll have 2 more cars to race at the same time as my others.
At least I didn't order a 27mhz car, those seem to be the ones that people are having the range issues with.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see how the 40mhz works out for me.

this blows, they're gonna have to release another version if they're going to keep up (that is if zz 2.0 are going to be all they say)...
I was so excited and wanted to get the super bits, but after all the reviews - I'm holding out.

those buttons are probably gonna be used for a new chassis when the zip 2.0's come out. tomy has probably got this figured out already, in order to keep sales up when the new zips are here. im guessing that the two buttons are gonna be used for steering, either to make the steering radius tighter or wider (cheap proportional) ? or maybe a two step turbo?CaboWabo wrote:this blows, they're gonna have to release another version if they're going to keep up (that is if zz 2.0 are going to be all they say)...

I thought the Super Bits were supposed to have a redesigned chassis? What am i missing? Considering the Euro Car front ends are so low...im assuming the chassis front end should be lower..but it doesnt seem so. Are these the original Bits or some intermediary bits or wtf bits?
