Got mine yesterday, Mine are probably in the same shape, it happens!
I went thru my collection (the ones that have been opened and run),
out of 9 cases (70-75 cars), only 1 showed a lil sign of corrosion
What are you Pimps using to clean 'em up anyways ????
**********************************************************************
Well I decided to open one, Lambo Set, no corrosion
(1 fer 6)
Anybody order a Ferrari Set from KB Toys ?
Holy Shit ! They went back up to $32.99 ! What Da Fuck

Mine came last night but I was out so I haven't opened the cars up yet. I'll do it tonight. While at TRU and picked up a MS Motorcycle, I figured for the price ($5.97) it was worth it. Add that to the 9 Walgreens clones (cars and trucks) I have sitting (6 unopened) I have a few to play with for a while.

Get some helmets.
Paint them in Eagles Green (It's a Philly Thing) and resell them

If I did get a helmet I would paint one in Eagles colors and give it to my Brother-in-law. I swear he bleeds Eagles Green.

Both my cars had corrosion, but it wasn't like the usual battery leakage corrosion. It was just on the positive side. I took it off gently with a plastic brush, and the dremel, and the finish was eaten all the way off, and the metal was pitted. The corrosion went all the way up the wire to the PCB. I had to replace the wire and battery terminal because solder wouldn't stick to them. I cleaned up the end of the battery with sand paper, and it works great now.
That was just the Lambo, the Ferrari had some corrosion, but not as bad, I'll have to access the damage sometime when my kid is not around. Still a great deal for $10 though, I forgot how great these cars handle.
