Group Buy 1:30 4WD Micro - $110 - UPDATE 17/7
Hi pimps.
So, theres been a lot of talk about a 4x4 micro out of China but few leads - as of today i've tracked down a line from the Factory and i'm placing an order.
These are the car in question, - quite obviously need better wheels and body, but it looks like Losi items should be compatible.

EDIT: FOUND VIDEO!

Here are the Specs:
I am placing a trial order in the next week. I'm getting a couple for me, and I thought i'd open this up for the pimps if anyone is interested.
I'm not out to make a profit, just help out my fellow pimps while I've got the connection like the group buys back in the heyday of micros. Plus a larger trial order makes the 'shop' look more legit
EDIT 17/7
Price = $85 each plus $25 airmail to USA / Canada = $110.
PS - I'm not keen to deal with people outside of BP on this one, mostly cos we're a pretty close knit group and i trust you all. But if you DO know anyone on R7R or similar who'd be SUPER keen and good to deal with, then get 'em to contact me on here.

Is that dual a-arms I see? I really wish I could see an actual chassis picture! 4wd micro is on my list to get still.. Looks promising though.

Re: GROUP BUY - 1:30 4WD Micro Truggy
update - i now have driveline photos!
yes, double a-arms.
these are from a custom build being done by Nige55 on the Micro-T forum - he's using the drivetrain to build a micro rc18 type set up.
his photos should show you everything you want to know

Re: GROUP BUY 1:30 4WD Micro - UPDATE 11/07 VIDEO + DRIVELINE!
hey all,
So, i've been talking to the factory, and shipping is going to be more than i had anticipated. Because the factory is located in mainland China they can't send through the cheaper Hong Kong postal system. We're looking at $33USD each landed in Australia.
So the confirmed cost for these trucks is:
$55 truck
+ $33 Shipping -> China/Australia
= $87 USD
+ $25 USD Shipping Australia ->USA or Canada
= $112 USD to your door.
EDIT 17/7
I'll call it $110 and wear the $2 on shipping
Because I have to buy in lots of 4 for shipping requirements, this order will be for four units only - two for me and two others. One of these is already spoken for, leaving just one more available in this buy. PM me if you want it.
I probably won't organise a second order, but will pass on contact details if someone else wants to put together another buy.

BUMP!
One truck still up for grabs pimps.
$110 gets it to your door in USA/Canada.
Customs tells me they've just cleared, which means I should have pics and a full review by the weekend.

Re: Group Buy 1:30 4WD Micro - $110 - UPDATE 17/7
they're in!
Not quite what I expected - the images I had put up are quite different from the guts of these, which leads me to believe that these are a knock off of the graupner rather than a direct factory supply of the real thing.
The electronics are pretty rubbish, but the size of the combined ESC/RX will be good for a 1/24 build. I'm in the process of gutting mine over to stock micro T electrics - motor and servo are the same size. Stock Gearing is pretty high, and motor gets pretty hot running a 2S lipo. I get the feeling I might cook the stock board on lipo.
The strangest thing is that these are completely overbuilt in some areas and a bit fragile looking in others; ie, bearings everywhere but plastic CVD's. I'm seeing if the factory can supply some metal CVD's, and if so I'll send them out free of charge to everyone who's picked one up.
See images below - full review to come tommorow:

size comparison with Micro Desert Chassis

Strip down:

CVD's - plastic shaft and joint, metal stub axle??

Differential:

Looks damn tough. Is Nige55 using mini z gears or what? The stock gears don't look that well, especially the diff..
Hope to see more once it starts getting upgraded!
