Nakamichi car source
This is where i got mine from. They are only $7.99 each, however shipping was $6.... but you can order more than one to save on shipping. I know i paid like $15 for this at xmas time in walmart for my son so its a pretty good deal.( if your buying more than one, otherwise its just normal pricing really).

Well i love the controller cause it has a nice feel and its 3 cells so dual cell chargin is easy. The cars are dual celled already and have a turbo switch which isnt as nice as the boost button cause you gotta slide the on/off switch up one more to turbo so its hard to do "on the fly", but all in all not bad cars.

I contacted the guy about these a few months ago because when ordering you can't pick which one your want, only by frequency. I'm a 49hz man myself, one controller for my whole garage of MicroSizers. Back then they were $19.00 too, so I guess at this price I'll get a few!
yeaqh i contacted thru emails too and purchased them that way. instead of thru ebay or the website. Great service.

The Naks are Here.....
Thanx EZ!
Got my Nakamichi's in today! Popped the batts in and gave it a whirl.
Controller on comfy, don't like the Turbo switch though I like the results.
With car in Turbo mode, it's fast, when turning it drops back down to normal and soon as you straighten the wheel, it kicks back into Turbo mode....neat! Turbo only works straight forward, not in reverse.

Hi DarkToeI
(guess that is your toe in the picture).
Any update on the Nakamichi. Are they still running?, how do they compare to bits?
QVC UK have decided to go Bonzer
and they are going to bundle a couple of Nakamichi with the track, so I really need to know if they are any good
Cheers

What's up TB, I like the Nakamichi Racer, as I said earlier it is a 2 speed car though not On Demand. It has a switch for turbo mode which is pretty cool cause while you're in Turbo mode, when you make a turn the car slows down to normal speed (like a brake) and soon as you straighten up the turbo kicks back in. Also reverse is normal mode.
The only draw back is that it's not upgradeable. Motor is hardwired, rear wheels are in an enclosed box attached to the chassis that is a bitch to get off. Body is not compatable with any other Micro so you can't change bodies with anything but another Nakamichi. PCB board is huge! But the car needs no mods, it runs strong, excellent range, steers sharp, tracks straight, & slammin wheels. I'd get them just for the wheels alone! The bodies aren't very detailed but with a nice paint job, it's a contender!
