6 channel transmitter for $30

Thinking about grabbing 1 or 2 of these:

I'm not sure if it is useful for r/c though. As far as I could tell from the comments the receiver is a pos and the transmitter may need reprogramming. Prob. over my head to get it to work but maybe some of you pimps can let me know if it's worth messing with.

I was thinking it might be worth it if I can get my hands on another receiver for cheap.
