Now that's a deal. I'll tell ya, my biggest irk about the ProPulse was that it didn't include a battery, which made the $99 price tag seem like less of a deal. Radio Shack had real potential with this car, but I think they're blowing it with their marketing strategies.BilboBaggins wrote:Buggy or Truck

YES I SAID IT.
$99.95 (It's $209.95 value)
Too bad I don't got an extra $100 right now, but it figures, I never have cash when RS offers a deal.

Get SG219 to buy one for you as a special appreciation gift for the bodies you painted for him.crazydave wrote:Now that's a deal. Re: Pro-Pulse on sale this week.
I just got lucky in finding a wife who likes my hobbies.ibjamn wrote:I'm jealousBilboBaggins wrote:My darling wife was looking through the weekly Rat Shack sale flier .............
She even posts on one18th.com on occasion.
She has more hobby grade RC cars than I do,

But I'm thinking of getting an on-road car, leaning towards the Sportwerks Recoil. It's a 14th scale 4wd car, I'm hoping there will be different bodies for it in the future. It currently only has available the Mazda 6. It looks cool but I want choices.

Well Me and the wife went to Rat Shack tonight.
I ended up getting the PRO-T100 bundle and she got the PRO-B100 Bundle I made sure they were on different channels). We both added on 60-9512 turnbuckle/servo saver set (who knew that RS sold titanium turnbuckes for these) and she got the the suspension set.
I have't had a chance to take it out of the bix yet. I want to have my RC18T sitting on the table to compare the two (I want to see how the Associated bodies will fit.)

Thanks for the heads-up on this (or should I be cursing you...Hmmmm).
I picked up the Pro-B100 (Buggy) bundle in the morning on the way to work (there's a shack 2 blocks before getting to work).
...At lunch I looked through the stuff a little more and realized I've got ZERO use for the battery/charger set (I've got LiPos out the wazoo), so on the way home I stopped-back and I was able to exchange the batt/charger for the Alloy Shocks! Sweet!
So far I've only taken it out of the box and looked it over, but even from the short look-over I have to admit that $100 for everything included in this bundle is ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!!!
- Ball Bearings throughout
- Full Propo, FM 3-channel RX (2 Channel Tx)
- 4WD, Alloy Drive Shaft
- 80A FETs with BEC on the ESC
That's just stock, then add on all the extras in the bundle and you've got a hellova ride for a hellova deal.

Or you could just spen like $51 bucks more ($149) at HorizonHobby and get one of these RTR with battery and charger and shock and other upgrades...Actualy I paid $122 at the local LHS around Christmas. I did think the RS stuff looked like it had potential though. Maybe those aluminum wheels would work...Huh

Oh yeah it comes with the digital synth transmitter that lets you swicth between 6 bands without swicthing crystals. It works well but does limit you on frequency choices.

They have ads in the RC magazines, but they look like gay ass Radio Shack toy ads. They need to show these parts, I never seen nothing like that at my rat shack.ibjamn wrote:titanium in ratshacks?![]()
If those things are on par with mainstream hobby grade RCs...... they need to fire the marketing team. They would do ssoooo much better in the rc lineups, if they would broaden the marketing and advertise them to more people than the cellphone clientel.

Rat Shack should also have clear bodies to paint, but then they would have to stock paint. They need to stock shock oil and it wold be nice if there were some aftermarket parts too.crazydave wrote:They have ads in the RC magazines, but they look like gay ass Radio Shack toy ads. The wife and I winally pulled them out of the boxes. I think I can make the RC18B buggy fit her PRO-B100 if we change the locations of the receiver and ESC. The RC18T bodies won't fit the PRO-T100 but I have a Proline Hummer SUT body for the Mini-T with extended body posts that looks like it will fit.
Now I have to think of a good paint scheme for it.
