I told you it was quick and fun. I have the same problem with running it in a small space and bashing up my purty WRX body, so I think I'll pick up a body kit and save the WRX. I agree the turbo button could be a bit lower. I also agree with SG that the only downfall is the total lack of suspension.

Is it ZZ SE bad?

Is there a way to lower the body? 8)

Is it worth doing? :-D

Am I just crazy? :-)

Can I get a holla? 8-)

The Mercedes body sits SE high, and that's pretty bad. It took me days of shaving and scraping to get that body lowered. I had to dremel off the corners of the chassis to get the front end to just sit normal. Then I realized it's not so much that the body sits so high, it just has huge wheel wells.

So now I'm using the Skyline body Bird sent me. It sat better stock, but I lowered it anyways. Pics coming soon.

I was standing in the SS aisle at TRU and thinking; Am I ever gonna buy one of these? I've done this every time I've gone to toys r us looking for bits.
Everytime the answer was NO. The more I hear about them, the more I'm starting to think that maybe I should get one. :???:

Oh damn you! 4 wheel drive and 4-way independent suspension. Looks interesting, but the wheels/tires need to be bigger. They look a bit out of scale and it would give the truck more ground clearance.

They gots OCC bikes too 8-)

There is also this....

It would interesting to have an actual loop in a track for an RC car.

I think its only for interchangable bodies and uses FastLane 1:43rd slot car chassis.

The West Coast Choppers RCs at Walmart look better than those OCC ones.

That track looks like a slot car track.

That monster is almost cool, but the tires do look way too small for that much suspension.

I like this one, wish I got it instead of the Mercedes now.

What if You got the 4x4 super slick truck and since it has small tires put the ZZ monster truck tires on, just like everybody put's dubs on the normal size 64th scale cars. Aren't the ZZ Monster truck tires bigger than the superslick ones? It might work, just an idea.

Here's the monster truck tire set from Radioshack (don't know if this has been posted yet or not)

Anyone get a special offer at their TRU with the SS fully loaded?

Mine offered free tuner kit if you buy a SS fully loaded.

So I broke down and bought the WRX.

The tuner kit comes with:

A 19,000rpm motor (already standard in a SS fully loaded kit)

A 22,000rpm motor (so it's not a total waste)

Some new tires (who cares?) :???:

Some ugly rims (who really cares?)

A tool that doesn't do much besides give you an alternate screw driver to replace the motor (maybe its for opening beers?)

I'm charging up some old 9V rechargables I found in the basement so's I don't have to buy any for the controller. Still a little confused why they changed from 3 AAA to 4 AAA in the recharger.

If I don't like the way the body sits, I may just return the bastard and try to hold onto the upgrade kit incase I want to go with the old School SS.

Silla :-)

Because the new cars are tri-cell, I guess from what Bird says, the old ones are dual cell.
