After further reveiw, the body is a very light and thin die-cast. I think. I need to take one apart to scratch the inside of one to tell.

I'm still sendin' you one either way. :cool:

my local toyshop has a huge range of those 1:87 models, range rover has room for batts. i'm pretty sure they have those vw's too.
anyways, i've been looking for an excuse to buy some!
