Another day at the track

Betty.k and I managed to get a few hours in at the templestowe track recently. Unfortunately it rained a fair bit and the track would not dry up enough in time between showers.

It's amazing how much stuff we took, yet it doesn't look like much.

This is betty's HPI Monster (RS4??) truck. It goes really well, offroad and onroad.

Here's our (ever changing thanks to short attention spans) collection of micro (1/28 and 1/43) scale cars.

We managed to get some video down. Including some great onboard video thanks to the wireless camera on my mini-z.

Check it out! It's also my first stuff around with Adobe Premier. A great program, but a real pain in the arse to learn!

Windows Media Player, 8MB

Enjoy!

I love vids like this, dickheads!
Especially when I'm shopping around for RCs and still learning.

Do the rolls and/or crashes damage the camera any?

this is what ph2t's camera looked like originally

the camera is mounted on a pcb so the corners copped a little beating. you can get away with a little abuse but you eventually learn to mount the cam internally or make a roll bar for it!

yup, orange & black xmod vs the z. the xmod owns all 1:28's at that track, especially in the wet!

I am seriously going to fly to australia on my honeymoon to race at that track. lol. the badlands track has a tendency to mess with my sexy body. and get my shoes dirty...

I actually was... that time...

I did get hella dirty out there after a rainstorm, but it was worth bashing a T-Maxx on the quads! =)

Didn't you get a rc18t? why weren't you running that bugger?

In related news, when someone is holding a T-Maxx trying to put it back on the track after a little mishap with some railing, don't gun the throttle kids...

Badlands ate my stock drivegear (titanium shafted). I guess I have to find a delrin stock replacement for offroad lock action.
