Just couldn't leave it alone.

Gave it a rear suspension.
Motor/gearbox were cut away from the rest of the chassis and suspended
by some xmod springs. This alone makes the car much more driveable.
Image

where the old mounting screws were, are now some extra long screws that the rear chassis can slide up/down on the springs.
Image

The guts. chassis is a peice of styrene attached to the steering box.
servo sits front and center, rx and battery pak on the sides and the speed controller out back.

Oh yeah, thats a six cell nimh pack.

Picked up some foamies for it, just not on the car yet. Have to grind down
a ridge on the wheels first and sweep up the garage floor.
This thing is more fun than an xmod. It scoots pretty well, has a low cg and is considerably wide. :-o

Clint? CLINT!!!!!

I don't have the space to be getting more R/Cs in the house Clint! Why are you doing this to me Clint!?!?

What's the score on the electronics on this badboy? Is it a 16stepper like the Xmods? How much, in the picture of the electronics, is your doing vs. the stock parts?

The original electronics in the ferrari are Bit-like, just larger. I was hoping they would have been stepped, similar to the viper. I threw them in ze-trashbin and installed fully propo electronics. night and day difference.

The enzo body is well done.

It's the same stuff you got in your M18...novak spy, gws pico rx, micro servo.
The 7.2v nimh pack is made from ZZMT nimh's.

Cool.

I'm starting to get the idea about hacking in your own electronics now! Now that I've actually gone through and setup an M18, it's pretty much just Rx/ESC/Servo/batts and you're in business...The challenge being to get small enough electronics and making whatever chassis mods in there to get it all workin.

Wow, it feels like a polar bear just shit a rainbow in my head!

And damn, always wanted to try a 1/32, your not helping my wallet with that super chassis/electronics modding! Very nice work.. I think I have most of the stuff to do it except for a forwards/reverse esc.

Clint your such a bad influence man. Nice work! :-o

Does it have a diff in the back? Or just a solid axle?

Yeah, Clint just gave me the justification for that Novak Spy I recently bought (even though I already have one in my M18).

Now I've got even more reason to keep looking out for a good deal on the Spektrum SR3500 Micro Rx...And of course I gotta get me some micro servos!

What's the motor in that thing?

Motor is a standard 130 size.

It definitly needs a diff. Was thinking about working in a gen1 xmod diff setup.

I'm on a 1/32nd kick now. Found some of my old Tamiya 1/32 mini 4wd cars. Monster Beetle and a Hornet Buggy..They are original from 1986. I dont dare modify those.

Ordered a few plasma dashes along with an old 1/32 tamiya slot car buggy i'll hack up.

I'm looking for a Tamiya Lunchbox 1/32 to make a crawler out of.

They also have a Unimog.
