Polish yer heat sink.

No it wont make your car go faster, and nope, it won't even get you the girlies. It just looks cool, and lets your competitors know that you've paid the extra attention to detail that's gonna kick their butt.

Check it out:

I just used a polishing wheel attachment on my dremel, with the red polishing compound.

To get in between the fins I just used some 400 grit sandpaper, to give it a brushed look.

Well, it's done nothing for me. Barely got a grunt out of my wife, when I showed it to her.

Maybe I need a bigger heatsink...

It's funny how the same post will take a totally different direction, here and at TRC.

Here I somehow managed to turn the heatsink into a inuendo for my manhood.

Over at TRC they're all gung ho to do it with toothpaste, and one guy already claimed it makes his motor run cooler. Must be that minty freshness.

how hot does the heatsink get anyway? have you ever thought of ripping an old cpu heatsink off on old pc and throwing it on? not for any other reason than that it could be done

well the stage 2 motors with heatsink dont get as hot as stage1 without the heatsink so it is doing its job well id say. yet still retarded.
