Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

BAD ISSUE: Metal Screws and Plastic Groves.

Just in general, it's not good to have metal screws into plasic sleves.

After a few 'in and outs', the plastic groves weakin, unlike metal ones.
One can over Torque a metal screw in a plastic hole until tuesday sometime.
Without proper alignment, it's easy to strip or go 'c o c k eye' with a metal screw in a plastic hole.

just some of my thoughts.

my major complaint about this car is the fact that i can not run it in my house. other than that i love the speed, handling, runtime and handling.

did i mention handling?

my xmod slowed down every time i took a left turn and then i found that it was cause the back left wheel would get of the ground and spin and the other one wouldent cause of the gear setup
is this thing on?

Actually that's the opposite of what a limited slip diff does. What is happening is the wheel that lifts is unloading. Put some grease in the diff to fix that prob.

The limited slip ball diff that comes with the AWD kit should also fix the problem.
...crazy man, crazy...dig it.

Grunge wrote:Well, I figured out the hard way that Xmods are not meant for outside use. I had just assembled everything and I was testing it out in front of my condo. The driveway is concrete so it's not rough terrain, but there are a few concrete joints. I looked over the area first to make sure there wasn't any obstructions. To make a long story short, I hit a rock about 1/4" in diameter. If the tire had hit it, no problem. If you examine the bottom of the Xmods, you will see a screw that attaches to shocks/wheel knuckle. There is very little clearance between the bottom of this screw and the ground. I happened to hit rock with the screw and it cracked the screw right off along with a small piece of the knuckle. Fortunately, I had the AWD kit and I replaced the broken knuckle with the upgrade. You have to be very careful and I found out the hard way.

exact same thing happened to me, cept not with a rock, with my friend's car  ...but I figured out how to "fix" the problem. Use a damper screw. I know you have the AWD, but for anyone else this happens to. just an FYI! :-)
