I'm an Xmods maniac! Muahahahaha
Well, I recently threw in an additional 2 cells for the Xmod, and I must say I'm quite pleased with it's performance. I cut the coils in the back in half, then stretched them to make hard suspension in the back, I have yet to stretch the coils in the front, hehe. I'm using the blue Stage 2 motor with the blue gear, and it flies, but after a while the motor is hot like a friggin stove, well at least the heatsink is, lol. The thing drifts like a madman, it will turn 90 degrees and slide a little before stopping, if you get some good distance and then attempt it, it will do better.
The speed and acceleration off the line is great, it doesn't zoom off, but it's like a friggin' blasting rocket, if you start it off the hi throttle (I'm so impatient to speed away, heh
) and I must say, it makes a great RC car for a guy...er, pimp....like me.
I have yet to buy a body and paint it, like Ahh5hit, but I have to wait, gotta buy the AWD kit and metal bearings, plus the lights, steering and suspension kit, etc etc. I'm throwing away a lot of money.
Oh well, I'm glad I did the 6-cell on it, I'm quite satisfied with the performance. Thanks for the modification tutorials, pimps!
