I got the ferrari and the porsche bodies. They should fit well onto my xmod with the mid sized shaft. I allready removed the mini z type mounts and am still working in my head how to mount it on the xmod. I'm figuring I'll try using velcro for now.
For $5 the quality of these bodies is great. Even with the shipping from toyeast it works out to about $8 per body. I also picked up one of the escalation motors. Quicker and torquier than the stage 2's, I've only tried it with the 8tooth so far. :-)

one trick I learned to mount the bodys is to use the xmod clip thing and just use styrofoam to mount the clip to the underside of the body and then it will fit in the stock location and connect it to the mini z body.

Which would be the best buy? An LXX Mini Z clone or an Xmod? Of course I would prefer the real thing (Kyosho Mini Z), but they're way too expensive and the parts are also not cheap... If someone has some knowledge about this I would appreciate if a little bit of it could be shared.

Thanks

I don't have an lxx mini z but I'll side with the xmod judging by the pics of the lxx z chassis. If the lxx z has a full propo system then with a few more dollars in kyosho hopups you may get yourself a nice car.

The ferrari body won't fit on the xmods chassis due to the antenna post. The porsche is a good fit but the mounting needs some work. What I'm really surprised about is the $5 escalation motor. It is very zippy and tough in the xmod. I'm ordering a couple more next time I order from toyeast. :-)

Xmods cant really be compared with a clone car, and they arent even close to a clone of mini Z, in my oppinion the chassis is far more sophisticated, within the lines of suspension and other small things. I think including price as a variable, along with quality, Xmod is a way better deal.

I thought so. The LXX Mini Z look really cheap when compared with xmods. My only concern about xmods is their durability and strenghtness of parts. Even the Kyosho Mini Z have some parts that are very fragile.

Thanks for the info TMP. Already have your bodies put together to ship them to you.
