HELP!!! my brand new Xmod has no balls!

i just came home with my new xmod, and the motor stage 2, right out of the box with the stock motor and new batts. its running really great and its pretty fast out of the box. i decide to put in the red 2 stage motor, so i do and it was pretty easy to install, now it runs good but has less accel? i thought since red was 9 tooth and more power it might have more accel. so i keep running it on red and it gets even harder to accel... so i switch to stage 2 white, which is 8 tooth. now it has less accel and my stock bit clones go faster. brand new batteries and only about 6 minutes total runtime. maybe less. WTF!

well my back wheels dont spin at the same speed, the left one (drivers side) is barely spinning. help this xmod is not working.

Sounds like you run your car on carpet. Remove the rear end of the car and clean every part and make sure there are no fibers or other objects wraped arround the axles.

i opened it up and there was so much dog hair wrapped around that it came out like coils, big ass coils. well i basicly surgically disected the entire car, and removed all the dog hair. my dog sheds, now i no longer race in the house. i put it back together and drove it again, but even with the stage 2, white 8 tooth gear it still accels REALLY SLOW. im somewhat satisfied with the top speed even with this gear. but theres definatly something wrong with my car.

The stage 2 motors do have slower acceleration, but if the 8-tooth had slower acceleration than the 9-tooth, then there is more than likely somthing up with that motor. I'm running the 10-tooth stage 2, and still getting decent acceleration.

well heres an update guys. as said the stage 2 motors, ALL of them except the yellow (which i havent tried yet) have terrible accel and even worse top speed, the blue wont even climb up past bit char-g speed. now i dont think this is a messed up motor if all the stage 2s dont work. now get this, i popped in the stage 1 8 tooth, (or the stock set motor) and now it runs great, i mean its going at the stage 1 white speed, but accel and power is great, im zippin around and drifting. WTF IS GOING ON HERE!!! i really want to use my stage 2 motors that i paid 16 bucks for. hope this extra info has helped somebody solve my problem. thanks guys.

Best things about Xmods as I understand is that RS is very easy on thier return policy. I wouldn't sweat it and just swap or flat out return em if you don't like how it runs.

well heres the mack daddy of updates on my thread here!

after posting and reading i decided to just take it and trade it for a new one, i went to another RS and once again this one also had very few xmod parts. well i took it up and said its not really working. he took it out, put batts in and rigorisly tested it on the floor, after about 25 seconds run time, it died. and the batts tested fine. so he agreed to give me a new white supra. the awesome thing is that he just let me keep my old supra body!!! now i got one to paint!

when i got home i opened the new Xmod. this one was packaged strangely different. in fact everything was taped down and plastic packaged. which clearly brings me to the theory that my originaly bought broken xmod, was infact a used return... repacked and cleverly put on the shelf as new. (

NO GOOD DIRTY RS #@%@$^) well atleast i have a new one. im waiting for a set of rechargable batts before i run it, but ill let you guys know how it goes!

a wire was probally under the motor while it was on.
then the heat from the motor probally burnt up sum of the covering and caused the motor to drain the batts.
to be more simple... it SHORTED.
