Fear of sounding like a newb...

Post by Swavey »

Sup guys!

So small cars have been my game for quite sometime..... I have been lurkin for the past while readin up on Xmods and whatnot. They seem pretty fun, Im wonderin if maybe I should get one.

where you gusy come in, heh is I kinda wanna get the info fromt he pro's :P Any kid could go buy all the xmod stuff in ratshack, but I wanna know what is actuallyu good from RS, and what would be best to get from elsewhere. (motors ect....)

My only fear with Xmods is the price, with Bits and the like I could cut solder to my hearts content. With an Xmod am I gonna get the chance to go "all out" and still get along with my pocket book... :P

HeHe plus Im findin it hard to just sit back and watch you guys have all the fun... :P

I think any of the starter kits would work well for you. I would use some of RS's upgrades (lights, tires, motors, suspension, AWD conversion, and gears etc) I won't lie and tell you it's cheap, because it isn't . My first xmod with all the hop ups ended up around $150 which is Mini Z territory.
Also check out some stuff for Xmods on E-bay. I have found some really good deals on "aftermarket" hop ups (stay away from the 6-7 cell kits, most of these so-called monster motors, cause they're a rip off) and then there are some stuff that's ok.
If you see something you like, feel free to ask the pimps. We'll never steer you wrong.

Welcome to the Xmod hood bro......
