What a load of BS

Post by LBRC »

Just bitchen so if your looking for info or a mod or something useful you should hit the back arrow.

I just finished a tour of the major Xmod web sights and I need to vent before I go and try to scrub some of the crap off me. The amount of hearsay, second hand miss info, and general all around BS is simply amazing. Perry Mason driving a super-sucker couldn’t even clean up some of the threads. I admit I did chuckle a bit at one where Ph2t was accused of being MNM, I mean he isn’t is he, but he could be, how are we to know? All those wonderful unfounded accusations.

Too many self appointed experts who’s only qualification as far as I can determine is that they have access to the internet. And others who must be right because they sell crap. When giving advice on the AWD kit for example wouldn’t it be nice if you actually tried it out at least once or even new that the red parts came from the kit?

I vote for less BS and more cars.

Better now, thank you.

welcome to bitpimps brother.

we pride ourselves in having a severe lack of misinformation.

from what ive seen all of the "xmod" sites are totally shady retailers catering to these idiots so they buy their crap. hell most rc sites are like that.

Welcome to the fold. I totally agree. I tend to give out small doses of advice on some of these sites. I always make sure and include that the results I find are from my own personal experience and not some half cocked load of bullshit. I see many opinions and they may be right, they may be wrong.
If you try something out and it works for you, it may not work for someone else.

Example: I saw a thread entitled. "what is the best drift setup?" Everyone and their brother had some sort of suggestion. Mine was plain and simple: It all depends on your driving technique and track surface. Experiment with different suspension, tire combos.
I got a response " I want to know what tire/suspension combo works best". Basically he answered me with the same fucking question. I realize not everyone in this hobby is a genius, but damn.
So my advice to others is just try some of this stuff out yourself. Trial and error is the best teacher, instead of looking for someone to hold your hand.

stop the bullshit. Post honestly or stop wasting our fucking time

it's funny really, most forums are chockas (full) with new members at the mo. stuff like " i just got a xxx and it says put batteries in it. should i?"
or those great threads with topics totally unrelated to the subject. or topics like "omg omg omg!!"

What should I get? I’m not actually looking yet but I thought it would be nice to know what I might want if I was, or maybe you could just get both for me so I could see if you actually new what I might have wanted and liked. By the way what is my favorite color anyway?

But my special 15 cell mod is still working my engineer friend said I can’t tell you how he adapted the ZipZap parts since you might sell it and of course since he works for NASA its clasified but its all capacitance and FETs.

And my thingy is still broke.
