rechargable, perferably lithium ions.

I bought another xmod from my friend today, it runs, and was only 10 bucks.

I use Ray-O-Vac IC3's in all my 1:2x scale rides.

The ones in the pic are AA's, but you will need the AAA's.

Best bang for your buck.

Use those AAA's in a ZZ or Bit controller.

Get yourself some IC3's.

No, you can't make a pack from the batts you got.

I second SG's suggestion for getting some IC3's.....they should be the first investment you make after you get your Xmod....they chatge quick and last a long time.

whatever rechargeables you get make sure you get them. i personally use nimh AAA's and i have a proper charger for all my rc batts.

rechargeables;

last longer
way cheaper in the long run
deliver more current (= more torque = more speed)

and buy a rechargeable for you tx too.
i used to be cool

I'd definitely go for rechargables. It's worth the investment and perform better. Besides, for the amount of money you'll spend replacing alkalines, you'll save by switching.
I'm starting to experiment with lithiums, but I started running RS rechargables.
