Can you use a controller from a standard hobby level car for the x mod?

You would have to change the electronics in your xmod. You can use a iWaver PCB to do this. Use the serch and look for "iwaver board" or something like that. You will find it. The auzzies like betty.k have successfully done this.

Xmods FAQ wrote: #3 Remote:
The Xmods remotes that come with the cars are the ONE AND ONLY remotes that will ever work with the cars unless you replace the electronics inside (Receiver/Speed Control/Servo/Controller). Xmods Controllers with the same crystal WILL control other Xmods with the same Crystals.
Enough said!!!!
Oh and Max you didn't search!!
