at the moment the brass is just resting against brass. It would be very simple to stick some bearings in there though, just remove the drive shafts and drill a larger hole in there...After i get her up and running ill decided if i really need bearings or not...This is sort of a prototype,, if it works well im going to use my new found skills to make a 1:43 scale stadium truck, maybe even with 4 wheel drive, im not sure.
Believe it or not this project started off as a table top truck but then i realized having a torquie tiny truck would get old quickly, im more up for speed so this is what i came up with...

i was just looking at the pics again and saw u are using some flat arms for suspension. how thick/hard is this material u are using for your arms because i would think they would flex under pressure if it is too weak and under high pressure bend because it is a flat thin peice. also if the suspension is too hard it will just flex the plastic as well. i know at my hobby shop they have sheets of brass or copper along with all of the stuff u used but i may suggest using that at least for ur arms if not ur whole underside of ur chassis to make it more rigid, because if any speed is gonna be on that it will definately need some heavy duty shizzit if u dont wanna keep making it again

believe it or not that plastic i used for the arms is extreamly stiff and thick, probably 4-5 times as thick as the zz box plastic i used for the chassis,, There is no flex it it at all and it should hold up very well. The clear zz plastic material i used is stronger than you think, i bent the sides (gives it rigidity) and the brass motor mount and pcb is all screwed to the clear chassis and that also makes it quite stiff.
I did use that brass material you were talking about for the steering arms and recently on the motor mount but too much will add unwanted weight to the car. If the bottom of the car begins to be beat up ill probably use some aluminum from a coke can to protect it and give it a nice skid plate.
I guess if i start breaking stuff on her ill make it a bit more burly, only time will tell,, i cant wait to finish this thing
