Yeah, fink, I know that that's the stock color. I was saying that It would look better if he repainted it a gloss blue. Also, AWD was a pain in the ass the first time that I tried to install it on my friend BB's xmod. It broke. Is it really worth that much? (I know, I sound like a noob)

you can't run the sealed bb's all round on an xmod.
standard xmod bb's are 2mm wide whereas the sealed ones are 2.5mm wide. you'll encounter binding issues. you can only run the sealed bb's on the outermost points of the hubs (4 in total).

it would be possible however to grind out the bb recesses .5mm to accomodate a full wide set :-o
i used to be cool

Good to know. I keep seeing a wide track set where 6 are sealed and 8 are not. I wanted to know if they will work when I make it AWD in a few weeks.

I went to Hobbytown USA in Whitehall, PA (near Allentown about hour and a half from Philly) and they didn't have any Mini-Z stuff. Seems that the distributor is selling to the dealers at the same cost they are selling to the public. They want all the money for themselves.

I'm probably going to go eBay for the lock nuts, shims and bearings this week when I get paid. I still have a couple of coupons printed out so maybe I'll get another of these, they are fun. I already chipped the front bumper/spoiler (it was either me of the wife we aren't sure who did it) on the Subaru.

While at my inlaws I had a chance to use their fairly smooth driveway (I just need to sweep it before I play next time.)

Unfortunately my darling wife metioned to our 3 year old nephew that I had a car. After him driving it on the carpet we had it on the driveway. Me and his other uncle had to try to steer the car while he was pushing the trigger (he doesn't seem to have the concept of turns yet.) After 20 minutes of it going off the driveway into the grass and hitting tires or the cars in the drive the car and flipping and scratching the body it wouldn't steer anymore.

I stripped the car down and removed the grass from the knuckles, steering arm and gears. I put it back together and the moter spun but wouldn't go forward. I didn't place the center axle retainer in the front correctly so apart it came again. Again putting it back together and Zoom it runs again.

Nephew wasn't around the next morning so I'm in the drive checking range and functions. I got about 50 feet, but I was in the country (near Bethlehem/Allentown, PA) not sure what I'll get in Philly yet.

Now since the body is scratched up I have an excuse to paint, the tire scuff mark on the hood has to go.

I'm thinking a Dark Green. Should I use automotive paint or Acrylic?
