how come my range sucks?

Post by pimptothemax »

I see people all the time saying how they get about 25 foot range stock. when I run my x-mod in my gaurage, all I get is about 5 foot range on my 1st generation x-mod and my EVO. Once I go past about 5 feet, the car starts to sputter. With my Acura NSX, it seems like it did, when it was actually new, went about 25 feet successfully.

anyone have the same problem or know an easy fix?

well, if you searched here, or the other forums, you Touched the antenna with a Battery and shorted it, you need to get some i think there called F1 things and fix it. or return it.

Exchange them for new ones and never work on your car with the batteries in.

one more quick question

Post by pimptothemax »

I might be an idiot for asking this, but on my x-mod EVO I can't get my fake brakes on(the ricer looking ones that are optional)*sorry I cant post a pic of what i mean, I cant find my computer-camera cord*I searched for other posts too, also google, and the users manual, could not find anything.

Anyways, I cannot clip the prong thingy into the hole. It functions more like a dent than a hole. I atleast, think, you are supposed to push the prong-thingy into the hole *problem:it wont go in at all* and then very simply get one of the screws, screw it in, and re-install the wheel. By the way, I have each brake with the appropriate wheel, I checked the Manual.

Thanks alot,

 Sorrey abeout the spel christas whith the werd "skrew" lol. :)

1. Look at a disk brake for the x-mod EVO.

2. Flip it upside down.

3. You will see a hole for a screw and diagonal from that, there is a prong that sticks up about 1/4 inch.

4. Remove the wheel from the chassis. You will see a small hole on the left side of the circular area from behind the wheel, and a hole a little bit down and to the side for a skrew.

5. stick the 1/4 inch prong into the hole. ** It will not push in at all for me **

6. Put a screw in through the screw hole on the disk brakes and the lower skrew hole on the chassis.
