Mini-Z MR-01 battery clips and xmod battery clips are exactly the same. One thing to keep in mind though, those aluminum clips are a fuckin' bitch to take off. I prefer the stock clips for that reason.VooDooMafia wrote:Speaking of that will the mini z battery clips fit? I want to get some of the alloy/carbon fiber ones to help with the heat

ok i got this thing dialed in perfect for now(til something else breaks)
i just redid my anti drive shaft mod again.
this is a simple mod that a: makes it quieter b: lets you coast further c: in theory lets you achieve higher rpms
materials needed a: a screwdriver b: some super glue
step1: remove the top plate on the front end. unscrew from the bottom the four screws that hold the springs. unscrew the top screws on the knuckles.take all that shit out leaving the knuckles(you can take those off if you really want).
step2:discard the center black thing(thats only there to hold the driveshaft). pull the shaft fwd a bit. put a few drops of superglue where the shaft and the bushing meet.
really important step:while turning the rear wheels, move the driveshaft back and forth until it is nolonger turning with the bevel gear but still holds the bevel gear in place. positioning is the key.
last step: reassemble the front end without that black bar thingy or cut a little bit out to accomodate the shaft sticking out more if you really want.
now when the motor runs it is not rotating a 4 inch steel rod. all power is spent rotating just the gear. obviously if you are running awd you dont want this but if you want the most out of a rwd setup this really makes a difference.
