Thanks, but I live in Canada, and RS don't ship to us amazing people haha.
I am pretty sure CF will do something for the chassis, perhaps handling right? It will stifen up the chassis alot. and it being ligther would reduce some extra wieght I guess.
I gotta get my hands on one of these anybody got some laying around lol!

Oh, haha. Yeah, CF should help with handling so there probably is a bit of handling/acceleration/speed increase but it's probably not that noticable since its only the decks that got upgraded. I do have another car that has a full CF chassis from Tinyrc and it does turn/accelerate better than my friend's car with the same upgrades.

I bought one back in July. Just finally installed it. It didn't seem the highest quality to me, kinda thin, and rough around the edges. The clear chassis looks cool, but I figured it was kind of a cop out from doing a full graphite chassis conversion.
At any rate it was worth $15 to me to restore my car. The black top beats on these things. Now my car is like new again, and I'm afraid to beat it up again.

I was gonna, but never took a strong enough interest in the xmod. Someone at TinyRC did it. I think its just the AWD setup, with the crown ground off the rear idler, and something to keep it from slipping out of place.MafiaS wrote:Same here man...I love AWD for the track, but just fuckin around nothing beats RWD lol.
Dave i don't remember where but I read on some post that you had made an RSX FWD? Is that even possible and if so how?
I took the AWD out because I felt it robbed too much power, and it was noisy as hell. I'm planning on replacing the drive shaft with a stub axle to reduce rotational mass.

AWD is cool, once you mod your car correctly. Mafia you saw my vid, that's AWD with stage 2. Just compensate for the powerloss with MORE POWER
Back on topic:
I was thinking of getting the CF decks when this topic resurfaced, but it seems to be more cosmetic than functional. Like dave, I'd use it to make my chassis look good again.

Yeah, but where does that power come from? More money? Seems a lot simplier to just take it out. If I do invest in more power, I want to see it, not lose it. I'm all about effeciency. Besides I'm used to driving RWD cars.Maxximum Attack wrote:AWD is cool, once you mod your car correctly. Mafia you saw my vid, that's AWD with stage 2. Remember, opinions are like assholes, everybody's got one. Just because AWD works for you doesn't mean its the way to go for everyone.
In any scale with any car, CF is more for looks than anything. I can not emphasize that enough. I had my Losi XXT Sport dialed in better than my buddy's XXXT CR, that he had purchased all the hop ups for, and put over $1000 into, but no matter which car he drove, he always beat me, because he was a better driver, and that's the bottom line.I was thinking of getting the CF decks when this topic resurfaced, but it seems to be more cosmetic than functional.
