Well, I got to test the EVO's drifting ability for a little bit on concrete, but the batts were already going low. It did impress me, but brought up a dissapointment as well. Where it did impressed me was how smooth and stable it was on the scotch-tape tires. It behaved much like the GT-R does with the plastic Drift Kit, where-as the gen1 Xmods are a little more twitchy on tape tires. I feel this might be due to the lower CG, but the longer wheelbase might have something to do with it too.

Where it did dissapoint me was that the screws for the tie-rod kept hitting and dragging on the ground, messing up some of the drifts. Due to the design, changes to the suspension height has no effect, since the screws go into the knuckle. However, this shouldn't be a problem on really smooth surfaces.

I did happen to stumble apon a small discovery. Replace the four screws in the tops of knuckles with the longer shaft tie-rod screws, and you will nearly double suspension height and travel.

You can also put the shorter screws for the shocks on place of the tie rod screws and gain more clearance.

I tried that, and the front suspension wont work right. In a turn, there is no travel since the screw is all the way up to the tie-rod and the tie-rod is in a location where it cannot move up or down with the suspension.

Edit-found out the suspension screws from the trucks are the same as the tie-rod screws, now I really want an EVO-T.
