Its all good mang. Was just the inspiration. Was originally going to do that exact look but changed it up at the last minute.

Figured no one has done this design yet from what I could find.

Heres a new pic. Added some of the graphics that came with XMOD and this image shows the acctual layout of the paint scheme. Sorry for the big image just wanted it to stand out better.

Hey all, I just noticed tonight that my brake doesn;t work anymore since I did the AWD mod?

Is there any reason why or does doing the AWD stop it from working correctly?

AWD puts to much friction and resistance to really make a diffrence anymore..

so are you saying it should still work fine?

Casue what it does now is instead of stoping on a dime it keeps going forward about 1-2 feet depending on how fast I;m going.

Nah, the brake feature really dosent brake if u want to think about it, it just takes the power off of the motor.. Its not a true RC brake, just a way of making an xmod stop. An xmod relativly has some type of binding, somewhere which will cause the "brake" feature to work better. Get it?

The brake feature on the Xmod is a dynamic brake by shorting the motor and using the motor as the brake. The stronger the magnets in the motor and lower your gears the better the break.

As for the batteries I have the energizer NmHI 1000MAH and a charger that supports them nicely.

I will be picking up a second set on payday. $20 CAD for 4 AAA.

As for the mods I think the first thing I have decided to do is tires and painting/body kit. Gotta loo hott right.

Second will be stage 2 motor
Then bearings and shit.

My thing is speed and agility.
I'd suggest bearings first for speed and agility.

edit: i'm a slow reader (now) .disregard this post

Bearings

Post by lovedoctor »

Thanks for the tip on VXB.com bearings.

The problem is, they offer at least 8 different bearing sets...which ones are best?

Are the $24 bearings that much better than the $10 bearings? Are the $10 bearings just repackaged RS bearings?

Thanks, :)
