my xmod has 15 discrete steps left and right for steering.i have not seen anyone comment on the controller feel though..maybe mine is just too new but i can feel it in my hand when i change between steering angles..i kinda like it..lets me know how much turning i have still available..if i adjust the sensitivity of the steering with the controller it is reduced to 12 steps each way
also i strongly suggest you pimps set aside that tiny useless screwdriver they pack in the kit..just get a nice fresh #1 phillips bit out for your multidriver and you will swear less//unless you twist too hard and break something
if you get the supra kit put in your light kit before attatching your front bumper..have some tape handy for the loose headlight wires..
this car handles like a dream out of the box and i cannot wait to mess with the awd kit and suspension kit to improve it. i do not care at all that there are only about 15 steps each way for steering this car is a blast..

my thoughts exactly but i dont know if i could feel the turning with the wheel. next stop suspension, bearings, and all wheel drive. i might as well put the hard things in all at a time

Same thoughts here. Instal the Bearing kit first sine you have to strip the care down to just electronics. I only ran into 1 problem so far and one of the front stock stub axles was larger in diameter than the bearing inside.
The bearing inside is .115" where the axel was .118". Spining it and shaving off the extra .003" was easy.

The bearing kit is all I need. Unfortunatly the xmod bearing kit isn't what I'll be getting. I don't like how they left them open faced. I'm hoping the miniz bearings will fit, gonna haveta try em. :???:
People say the xmods car isn't full propo and it "only" has 15/16 steps of steering. I really don't see a need for 500 more steps. Not at this scale. Unfortunatly I'm a newb with these cars so I'm still learning and might change my mind later, but for now I'm liking it. Even though I gotta drive 20miles sos I can race it.
Good thing I got my bits to pick up the slack inbetween track visits.

if you dont want to go to a track for a good racing surface go to a tennis court or parking lot. if you can find a newly paved parking lot or nice tennis court you can have some great fun. i'm probably going to get some of this plastic bendable pipe (about a inch think) and tape it down for a quick track. have to wait for more friends to get theirs though

Since HS bearings are measured in mm they are 3mm ID x 6mm OD x 2mm Thick. Hope that helps Sessiz.

Hope you have better luck than I had here one shop wanted $7.99 for 2 bearings that size. With the AWD kit we would need 14 total.
