I'm not even going to comment on the "vs" battle
all I'm gonna say is Namuna needs to get a job in photography.
the pictures are better than the shots done by the "professionals"
Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

Yep I would agree and since we are on that I would like to ask what camera you are using?

Personally I have a Kodak DC215, Canon Powershot Pro70 and a canon ZR45 MC

Good enough for what I use but just curious on your EQ :)

Instead of retyping what all photo gear I've got, check out my profile at dpreview (kick ass Photo info Forums)

The single BEST advice I could give anyone is...LIGHTING! It's all about getting the proper lighting.

ok my questions on these.

so nominal running is 5-6v? what about running 2 lipos? 8v?????

i dont know tons about minizs but are parts swappable??

whats overall perfomance comparison between the two?

so 50bucks?? the ability to put 100$$ into it? so it kicks ass for 50$???

theres a roller hockey rink up the hill from me that would totally kick ass for this i think.

whats runtimes like on 4aaas? or is it aa? they sell a charger but if i got a nicd charger already its the same right or is it a speed charger? fuk theres enough room for tons o battery options.

where do i put jbweld on this thing?

- Nominal is 4.8v to 6v (depending on NIMH or Alkalines)...I can't say if the XMods PCBs are the same as ZZs as far as how it passes power to the motor. I'd think your idea of using LiPoly should be viable.

- Mini-Zs are 1/24th scale, XMods are 1/28th...The sizes are VERY close, there might be some cross-compatibility for parts, don't know at this time what will or won't work.

- Haven't done a hardline comparison yet, but so far what I have done leads me to believe the Z is still the champ (as far as steering goes)...Other than that, Stock vs. Stock I have to give it to XMods. The performance and options available, for the cost just plain KICKS ASS.

- For the entry fee of $50 my impression is 'Nice'. Add a little Body Kit and some different Motors and then you're in kick ass territory.

- With the Starter Kit, which the Acura RSX is what I got, it comes with 8-tooth gearing (which means high top-end, so-so torque)...A nice big roller rink would be ideal for this setup.

- Car uses Triple-As. I've never used alkalines, always NIMH. With the Mini-Z, runtimes are up to an hour. I'd think the X would be similar or even a little better.

- JBweld not needed, the Hood, front & rear bumpers, side-skirts and mirrors are all interchangable and they're all screwed-on.

As far as the charger goes, make SURE your charger can handle NiMH batts. If so, then there's NO REASON to have to buy an 'xmod' charger...there's NOTHING special about it.

LMAO... I think as these cars get taken apart and put back together several times, there will be plenty of opportunities for jbweld. The quality seems pretty good, but it's pretty easy to over tighten the screws and strip shit. Over time I figure a lot of the screw holes will need to be filled with epoxy and re-tapped.
