I've heard good and bad as well. But I 've heard bad things about other micro rc's as well, bought them, and liked em. The only way you'll ever truly know, is if you get one for yourself.

...depending on where you drive it. We're driving indoors in a big open space and have had no problems after 2 months of racing. I can see where driving these things outside would be a different story.

well i had just glued my tires to the wheels and cut slits in it with the razorknife. and well i wanted to test out how much traction i obtained with the newly secured tires. it was cold outside that night which may be a factor.
but let me tell you for having a little under a hundred invested in this thing(car50$/batteries25$/lights6$/motors15$) it is a total beast. especially after making the tires stick to the rims and adding more traction i have to say this thing is a complete monster(i know it will go much faster even).
anyhow how did i break it? by being an idiot and driving it to the peak of acceleration on a downhill and cutting it hard so it kinda jumped in the air turned 180, bounced a little(didnt flip tho). downhill runs with these things is pushing it a little too hard in my opinion. but damn is it fun watching that little blur go past you.
*edit* you probably wana know what i broke too huh? the cup thing that attaches to the axle and differential. the female part not the male part that attaches to the wheels. the groove that the male part fits into got stretched out like payaso's mom's bunghole. but it made me break down and rip the entire rear end out and damn theres a lota screws. i put graphite in the differential and filled some jbweld in the crack to hold all the axle crap together and it seems to be ok temporarily at least.
so yes i figured out where to use jbweld on these things already

Was it this part?
If it was come into the store or call 1-800-The-Shack and order 2 of the RSU #12414181 REAR AXEL SHAFT (1) for $2.49 each and the $2.99 shipping. A memo came across that said they had a limited supply of these that are all metal not plastic and metal.

if you have been good this year ask for a mini t..i have had more fun in a week than i had in the 3 weeks before returning my xmod..maybe this time next year the xmods will have higher quality..1st gen zipzaps were slow and had less range so there is hope in time xmods will be worth it
