TRC is now selling X-Mod parts in the shop over there. I did a little shopping around, and saw that on ebay, you can get a CF drive shaft for about $12 - $15 us. He has all 3 for $15

I don't own a X-Mod. Tiny was just starting to stock the parts cause X-mods are getting more popular now, and he's got the hook up in that scale.
i do however do own a mini Z OL, and that will rock the walls of a X-Mod...lol

Oh well I bet it will...
...no wonder you never had an interest in a Xmod.

Well, I actually test drove a x mod when they came out, and wasn't impressed with it, so I just canceled that thought.
pimpike seeing my dilema, hooked me up big time with the BMW X5 OL....
Let me tell you, I've had it about a week now, and this thing will whip some serious ass..
I tested my 50th Ann Corvette against "Grunges" Hopped up X-Mod, and my vette was just dancing circles around it. we were both like in amazement.

Soon I will own a monster OL "madforce" trucka-ma-bob and I'll be stomping your puny OL.

(still haven't fully made up my mind)
I know my xmod with it's minor mods would give your OL a nice lil rosy buttum.

actually, the Monster Mad Force is just a tore apart and super sized/biggie sized/combo sized Overland, you wouldn't have made that statement. There are parts from Kyosho already to turn your OL into a Monster and vis Versa. Really no point in getting a Mad Force from my point of view due to the fact that the Mad Force dosen't have much of a aftermarket yet, and when it does, just switch up your OL using Alloy parts when you switch it to a monster if thats what you want. In the end, its cheaper too than getting a monster and upgrading it with alloy because your bound to break a pillowball mount/shock mount/etc. etc....
Just my Three Cents
cheers,

oh yeah, not to start a arguement you can go ahead, put fets, 4wd blah blah, NML fuzion, the handling just won't cut it...

I've got no problem with the handling. I'm way over defending the xmods from mini z owners so I'm not going to start "but i gotta post this up".
The turning isn't as "smooth" or tight as a mini z (granted) but from my own personal experience on mini z tracks and running with mini z racers, I aint hurting one bit. Maybe it's just a skill thing?
I don't own an overland so how exactly would it be cheaper for me to buy one and then hop it up to a "stock" madforce? (or even modified)
Before I dive into anymore of this let me just put this out, Miniz - xmod and all 1/2?th scale are way too big for me to enjoy running. The main thing I like about any of these cars is the tinker value.
@payaso- The stock xmod is slow and takes some room to get to speed. I don't have a RS corvette but I do have an epoch. (which has been said to spank the RS version) The epoch isn't beating an xmod with a stage 2 motor. It
WILL get the jump on it though. I attribute that to the difference in scale and the weight of the heavy ass xmod body.

will be cheaper because the OL prices should have wen't down a bit due to the launch of the monster. (rcmart.com had them on special for 105, and the monster is 150)...
You saying my skills are inferior? If that was the case, i wouldn't be up all night practiciing on the night before race day on my tile flooring trying to get my damn tires to work right.
lets just keep it this way, i like mini-z's. No problem with RS just creating a new toy right? you changed my perspective, just that they aren't going to get my money, thats all.
cheers,
mike:)

I must have missed that special on the ol, last I looked it was still over the $130 range. Even if I got one for $100, what would be the cost to monsterize it? I want a monster truck at this scale is all.
That's if I get one at all. I'll say it again they're just too damn big for me.

The OL and Mad force are totally different.
Its just the mid-section which is not different.
Im buying a mad force next week, cuz i like going crazy and doing jumps.
I wont buy the OL though is cheaper, due to the fact that the OL is in my experience from reading mini-zracer daily, weaker than the monster, when doing jumps and "going crazy".

yes theevo, those are the ONLY place that they are the same, but releveant that, the board is the exact replacement part for the OL, and since the rest is mostly plastic, it won't be too expensive to change it over or change it back.
cheers,
mike:)
