I'm thinkin' that all those cars are 1/18, even in the first vid. I could be wrong, though. Nah, I just watched again... I'm almost positive those are Micro RS4's.

Yep you got it micro RS4's.

Yeah, after further analysis, the vid with the cat is a pretty much stock Micro RS4, and the outdoor nighttime vid is Micro RS4's, one with the HPI Trueno body, the other the HPI Sylvia.
Makes me wish I had a deeper wallet...

I'm guessing you guys haven't seen my videos:

All it takes to drift is the right amount of oversteer. RWD is too much oversteer with Xmods, at least in my opinion. However, as long as you can get your car spinning in donuts (full throttle, full steering in one direction), then drifting is simply a matter of controlling those donuts and linking different donut pieces together.
Xmods are really difficult to drift. Unless you're on a nice floor like a classroom, you'll need taped tires. A spinbrush magnet swap couldn't hurt either.
I gave up on Xmods recently, and bought a heavily modded Micro RS4 for around $240. It handles and performs much better, and I don't have to worry about breaking connections when I hit something, or drivetrain parts wearing out after only a few weeks with a barely-modified motor.

some questions:
Do you tape all four wheels?
Do you use four wheel drive?
Stage 2 motor?
O yea and nice vids

In the videos I use tape, but for drift-racing I don't. Tape strongly exaggerates sliding, and you lose a lot of power that way.
I absolutely cannot drive Xmods without awd on anything besides carpet. When my axles started breaking, I gave up on Xmods rather than buying new axles.
My motor is a stage 2 with spinbrush magnets and slightly advanced timing - white gearing.
