ok yes they charge a lot faster than any other battery on the market.

no they dont deliver more power.

actually on 219's speed checker it was the other way around(just slightly tho).

so what you are paying extra for is time. nothing else. they still worth the extra loot? depends on how often you use them.

Yeah..... that's real.

It's worth it for the quick charge in my case though... I use my set for 2 rides, and it cuts down on the hassles(45 minutes is a hassle lol).

And the few extra mahs is worth it, too :-)

Sorry, not buying it. Alkalines might put out the same power on a dyno, but they seriously fade after about 2-3 minutes of use. We've done side-by-sides and before-and-after and they don't deliver the same level of power. Now if you're comparing IC-3's to other NIMH batts, then yes, they are probably the same.

What bird said. It's so nice to have 2 sets, and that the second set will be done charging when the first set wears out. Having a charge time that is less than the run time makes it so you're never waiting for batteries, non-stop racing (except for swapping batteries).

He has the xmod rechargables. I doubt alkalines would match up to those or ic3s, too.

EDIT: Another thing I'd like to add... I don't have one yet, but 219 just got his... The cigarette lighter adapter... You can't charge the xmod rechargables in your ride on the way to someones crib lol, but with the adapter you can with ic3s, and in a third of the time if ya have a power inverter and want to charge the xmod ones in your car lol.

We started with the xmods batts, took 'em back and got the IC3s mainly for the charge time. The other nice thing about the IC3s is, they don't get hot. The RS batts were hot after a run.. IC3s are room temp. Performance being equal, the other benefits put IC3s clearly on top in my book. They are expensive, but SuperFly and I lucked out and got mispriced AAAs at Walmart... $8 per 4-pack. They fixed that a week later.

I have 8 "AAA" and 4"AA" and use and abuse them all!! Gotta get more of each for other stuff, Digital Cam, airplane, boats, controllers. The 15min charge time is great!!! I can charge mine in the car too!!! I don't know how I could live without them? :???: :-)

Now only if I can get a really big IC-3 for my 1-1 car!!!!

:finger: Damn $2.03 a gallon gas!!!

Is that the low test bottom barrel shit for $2.40? Or some high test 99 octane crap that is useless in most cars.

I just saw $2.11 for the cheap stuff (87 oct.) on the way home from work today.
