Got a chance to install the bearing set today. Of the 12 bearings the stock 2WD car only uses 8 bearings not like the old one that took 12. The stock car took 8 of the larger bearings and installed easy. Before you start installing the bearing though get 2 things: Tape (any tape) and a paper towel. The paper town used to clean the grease that the bushings had on them since bearings don't need grease. The tape for one of the steps in the instructions so the whole rear end does not come apart when you get access the the differential gear.
So far I have taken it apart and put bearings in the new car and still I have yet to put batteries in it and run it.
Got some info on the EVO_T as well from the paper in the Bearing Kit.
The basic Chassis the the SAME with minor changes like the rear pod turn around 180 degrees.

I said this in another thread, but I find it funny that for years every time anything new X mod wise came down the pipe we instantly were all like "did they fix this? Is that faster?" Yadda yadda. Now w/ the Evo, they finally trully did upgrade it all, and we have yet to get a head to head performance review! CJ!!!!! Put the Damn batteries in dude!
Hehe, we are like a bunch of battered girlfriends here, RS has fucked us over so many times that when they finally put somthing that is being touted as a major upgrade we are so hessitant to get really excited.
Either way, I am buying a WRX Wed. Will be my last gen 1 xmod purchase I hope.

well, after pouring over all the awd z and xmod evo threads & pics i've made up my mind. ima get me an xmod evo!
i'm really happy with the weight distribution, very similar to a mm mr02.
the awd axles look sturdier, suspension looks really good, sealed up niceley, room for an iw/kyosho pcb, and generally well designed.
and it appears that rs really listened to all of us when designing this.
screw the obvious choices, i wanna rally pontiac!

All this rally talk is just getting me super hyped . But I just CANT buy more xmods . Too many things to have to buy again, AWD, bearings, 2 kits (if I want a scooby), steering, suspension.... i guess I can make it longer. I'm one of them battered women that finks mentioned . But we'll see (fiendin').

I think it's time for someone to make a pre-runner. I'm gonna stick with bashing and crawling (surfaces around here), but I might just have to...crazydave wrote:Rally is cool, but I'd settle for a truck. See more trucks than rally cars in AZ after all.
I am thinking that I will have to get one of these.
