I got a Bitchin Camaro!!

ok my parents took me on the most boring vacation of my life. so i made them get me a 350z xmod. it broke in about a half hour. i fiddled with for a bit with a leatherman superglue and a pen and it worked just swell(more on that shit at a later date) it and it worked again. but since the knuckle broke in a half hour while running in a normal parking lot totally stock so i figure it was worth taking back.

they what do you know when i get back to the big city they have the ford car and what do you know. they got the camaro. when i got my biff turbo from Ph2t he was kind enough to send me one of the original Woah Nelly 1.0 boards.

So i start pulling shit apart. My Dykes worked really well at cutting the pins on the stock fets. well enough to where i didnt even need to clean the pads off. all in all it took maybe a half hour to get it in and test it. worked great after bruce pointed out that i didnt plug the motor into nelly. so i slapped the car back together and no reverse. after fucking with shit for a while i rip the car apart and the nelly wires were cut by the metal heatsink.

so i call bird and ask him what he did and if i would have hit the search button i would have probably found that lol. oh ya dont solder near tires. i put a good dent in one lol.

anyhow after a lot of profanity and shit i fnally get her back together and take her out to the basketball court. the ball diff was slipping and it was still way faster than a 6cell without nelly and handled way better. and 3 minutes later i broke a knuckle. so i go home and put a fresh knuckle on.

why do i always break the right side? and the diff is fucked so i swapped it out for an old one that works like it should and go to mcdonalds which is smoother. this chick i was with clocked my shit 3.3seconds @ 50 feet and this was after running a few minutes. a knuckle screw rattled out but the knuckle isnt busted at least.

this is with the stage 2 11 tooth motor mind you. the acceleration is fucking insane. its qucker off the line but once it starts to wind up a little is when it nelly really shows its charm. supposedly the 1.2 is even better than this shit which is hard to believe.

ill throw pics up later or somethin.

you all should get a woah nelly turbo unless you dont have a 1:28 scale car. if you dont have one get one or make someone buy one for you lol.

lol this car just breathes badass. i almost made it through two charges this time without breaking a knuckle. stiff springs up front really make a difference. i must also ad that i get almost 100 foot range.

so anyway im driving at mickey dees parking lot and these dudes in this shitty dodge omni or something pull out of the drivethrough and stop. so i turn the bitch around knowing what dude is thinking and he tries to hit it and i totally wiffed him lol. as he drove by i mouthed "fuck you dude" with four dudes in the car. they sat in the parking lot for a min and i ran the car like nothing happened and they took off lol. about 10 mins later i broke my knuckle and packed up. as im crossing the boulevard, guess whos pushing their dodge omni or whatever? one of the rednecks was like "why dont you use that little car and give us a tow?"

i just said "your car is really broken?" they just gave me a blank stare surprised that i talked to them or some shit lol and turned around and one of them said he was going to wipe that smile off my face but he forgot to or something. im not dumb enough to fight four dudes but i aint no bitch either.

lol my fucking xmod beat their real car lol. thanks nelly!!

No you wouldn't have lol... 219 did the post/write up of the install and I don't think that he went into detail about that stuff...

Sounds like ph2t has yet another satisfied customer... Like I said... Dude is a class act, and his workmanship is second to none.

Now I have the ultra-sucky title of "the only pimp in Pittsburgh without a Nellied xmod"... I gotta change that really soon... And, piss on you and 219... I'm planning on some lith-ions by next summer, as well. That's on top of the strategic weight reduction through CF/weight re-distribution through GPM alloy/every known steering mod/wait for the 02 iwavers to do that board swap(still have brakes!)... etc... Whatever... I have tons of time... By next summer, I WILL have one of the sickest xmods ever seen.

And... OK, here it is... For any xmod owner who is planning on getting a Woah Nelly... You have to ditch the chassis heat sink that is in there to help cool the stock fets... with Nelly, it is just dead weight anyways... With that gone, you have enough clearance to run the wires out from under there... Be sure to route the ribbon wires(the control logic wires that solder to the stock fet pads) away from the switch and out towards the rear... You will also need to make some sort of a spacer for the switch(hence the name... switch gasket/spacer thinger lol). Without that chassis heatsink in there, it is left loose with enough play to flop around... I used a folded piece of cake mix box on 219s, with a little rectangular switch hole cut through it with an exacto... When hog called and asked, I advised him to use a match pack, folded and cut... Whatever, same deal, right? lol whatever works, I say.

winston match book. i just used one layer and glued it to the chassis. once in a while i gota fuck with it to turn it on but other than that she works like a charm.

i shortened the length of the knuckles. the travel distance is reduced a lot but that damn nub doesnt stick out nearly as much as it did. everything is jbwelded. turning radius is not effected and there is a little bit of travel in the front suspension but not as much as stock. but jesus christ im sick of knuckles breaking. this should be a good fix til i can score some of those gpm alloys.

I wish I could see what you did in that pic becuase I run my Xmod in a parking lot too....and the knuckles are always getting bashed. I've been lucky enough to only have them bend and lose their screws...so I have just bent them back in to shape a couple of times at this pont.

That nelly sounds like fun. I'd like to see it in action.

I'm jealous, I want a Camaro and I want a Nellie, well at least I'll be getting a Nellie soon. I'm just gonna hang out and wait hoping they come out with replacement bodies for the Camaro. (fingers crossed)

Yea I hear that, I pull mine out after work as they just paved again and its nice and smooth and people always look at it like they wanna do something lol.

Thats when I just goto the shop as I just had that paved aswell. I am thikning instead of having teh parking lines pained in I should have just had a track painted in

ok found another parking lot with less traffic and went through two sets of batteries and get this NO BROKEN KNUCKLES!!!! hell i even beat on it this time and she held up rock steady except for the scratches on the roof. i understand betty's roofslides now lol.

drifting? you betcha damn good control. i teflon powdered the drivetrain before i left and its a hell of a lot quieter. so if you are like me and break knuckles left and right then shorten that shit up.
