problems with tight turnz mod

I did the mod last night, followed it to the letter. But, i only have tight turns to one side and normal the other way.
Also its VERY difficult to fit but i will de-solder the resistors and will place them in the space between the motor and the servo.
thirdly, it now sounds like my servo is doing overtime in there

. Are my gears slipping. Oh i dont know the value of the resistors i used. I just know that they are within the limit.
Anyone help, I will de-solder now and relocate the resistors. Hoping for a fast reply.
Thanx
Maxx

use 2 resistors that are the same or you will have different amounts of turning on each side. aim for around 4.7k ohm.

Both resistors are the same. They are the resistors i bought a long time ago to do the anti-boost mod on my bit. but i never knew the value only that they were inside the range dave said in his tut.
How do I get the resistors to fit?

i just mount them behind the servo with one end bent around to meet the terminal. to fix the problem maybe you have to replace the servo motor with a bit motor, the slower the better.

I did that tonight. The steering works fine now but the car seems to be a bit slower. Any suggestions?

dunno what's up now, check it out or nelly it?

I will nelly it eventually. But I have to keep the little change I have for when my liths arrive at the post office. I also what to hop up to a faster motor. My one and only x-mod is getting there. Soon I'll be racing 10th scale
stock electric RC's.
Had to get the sttering fixed first. Bearings soon to come. next may be a nelly 1.2.
The decrease in speed is depressing

just check, is anything rubbing on the driveshaft? or anywhere else?

HE HE. Guess what.
The batteries were dead

. I forgot that I had only put a little juice in them to test the steering after the mod. But with the mod not working I totally forgot

. So it works great now thanx to full IC3's.
it feels funny to steer. I have to get used to the new radius.
Bring on the Li-Ions

OK now
I have a bigger problem. My car is not turning at all. The steering horn is turning without the wheels but does not have the power to turn the wheels anymore. I took out the resistors and returned the car to normal. That was no help. I have now officially put my xmod down until i get the Impreza.
But just in case... can anyone help?
