Nelly Deluxe

Post by HirotoR34 »

I was recently visiting the nelly website and was wondering if anybody knows the deal with this...I am looking to get a turbo and would like opinions (maybe ideas or thoughts) from current nelly owners. I'm in the process of building my car with lithiums and I'm sure it will perform. I've seen the news about Nelly deluxe, and it sounds intriguing, but how about 1.3? Anybody else running a 1.3 with liths, and if so, how is the performance? Is it worth waiting for the deluxe? I don't friggen know.
In preparation, I have removed the stock mosfets from an extra pcb I had laying around. I also performed the tight turns mod to the servo. (wipes sweat from forehead) I'm just looking for some opinions/or ideas.

I have 2-1.3's and only used the one for a little bit until I blew out my servo in an Xmod.

The 1.3's are great. No telling when Ph2t will get around to pumpin' out the Deluxe.

I plan on putting one in my Overland or IW02, and one Xmod.

Nice. I sent an e-mail, but no response...probably busy. I'll just have to keep an eye out. In the meantime, I'll just pop in a stock board and drive it silly.

On an Iwaver note, I talked the wife into an IW04 for my birthday. She thinks I'm fucking nuts on this hobby stuff, but hey, She likes fashion, I like RC. I just tell the bitch to deal with it.

ph2t is very busy at the moment and still waiting on parts for existing orders. i think nelly deluxe is a one off, it's just a nelly with a regulator on the same pcb. you can just buy your own regulator and a nelly if you can't wait.

Thankfully, I am blessed with infinite patience.......I just want to make sure I'm not left out in the cold with my junk in hand. :D

soon fellas, soon.......

I've been busy as at work. deploying a new wireless lan (80+ access points) and also a new laptop (400) rollout gives me little time to do much else.

nelly deluxe is (currently) a v1.3 with a 5v regulator circuit and some extra interfacing parts...

the goal is to be able to run grater than four cells and still maintain good steering. it's well known that a lot of 1/28's (iwavers, xmods....) get shitty with their steering when you put more power to them.

it will come out, I'm still waiting on parts and then I need to fullfull the half doz back orders I have. once that's all done the shop will open again.....

ph2t.

that's exactly what the nelly deluxe does, 5v to the pcb (including steering) and whatever the battery voltage is to the drive fets.

Perfection then. If I decided to go with 4 li-ions again, I'd buy one, but other than my solderless li-ion kit, I'm out of them.
