So I Finally Broke Down and Bought One
Well folks I finally bought an XMOD today I got the silver RSX and BTW LOVING IT.
I do have one small maybe problem. Is it just the way there designed or do you really have to push hard to get reverse to work?
I think it may be becasue I am not used to and hate the gun style controller but ......
Any suggestions.
PS Plan on painting it etc very soon. Stay tuned for pics.

yo Stoli ya fucken old timer hwo ya been! lol...
get the VXB bearings first, way better than the RS ones.
IF you want to go AWD then get some alloy parts to boot. This helps lock up the drivetrain and make it more efficient.
The s2 motor kit is also good to get.
It just depends on how much you wanna mod it, you can throw too much into these xmods pretty darn quick.
cheers,
ph2t.

I'm doin fine ph2t
What I really want is room to run it.
Thinking on doing tires first since I have crappy hard wood flooring and its old and dusty as well I have a cat so gonna seclude an area to drive in.
Does the hairspray think work on these tires like on Bits?
Also, there was this stuff we used on slot cars called GUNK. Would it work well on these tires?
For now its gonna go into the spray booth for some flames or something funky. The air brush will be a lot easier to handle on a bigger scale.

Dear Life Cereal, Where do you get off? Part of a balanced breakfast and delicious? Who do you think you are? By now you may have guessed I'm speaking ironically and have nothing but good things to say about what you do. Life cereal do not change a thing.

I agree with all of the upgrades mentioned....but the first thing I would get is a set of Rayovac IC3 rechargeable batteries and Charger. Walmart is the cheapest place I have seen them. I've been real happy with their performance....they charge quick and last long. A second set of batts is recommended if you can swing it financially.
Unless ofcourse you plan to go with one of the dem dere crazy battery setups Hiroto and others have going.

Well since you don't have much room then i recommend you first do the tight turns mod. Use the 3.3 k for inline , and 4.7 on the actual pcb. I'm not sure if bitpimps have a tutorial but im sure they could help you. This mod greatly increases your turning performance, for about a buck.
The resistor goes between the servo wires, heres a pic for you.

Thanks for all your suggestions.
As for the batteries I have the energizer NmHI 1000MAH and a charger that supports them nicely.
I will be picking up a second set on payday. $20 CAD for 4 AAA.
As for the mods I think the first thing I have decided to do is tires and painting/body kit. Gotta loo hott right.
Second will be stage 2 motor
Then bearings and shit.
My thing is speed and agility.
