li-ions can suck my dick! (4cell xmod video)

Here's a little video that betty.k and I put together showing how fast xmods can really go on 4cells. Stock Xmods by themselves suck pretty big, but once you've modded them and I mean, seriously modded them they become little rockets!

Check out these 'lil buggers.... You won't find an xmod as modded as these, that's for sure!

No offense, but my li ion cars would of blown the balls off of ya GT40 :-) But, yours is more reliable, ive killed about 5 li ions in my life, + 2 li-poly. Im making a car now with AAA's. Full alloy so far, waiting on a carbon chassis from xmodsource. SO yeah, im a AAA convert.. Cause' of betty and ph2t~

i doubt it considering the batteries were half dead in both cars. you should see em move with a full set! :smile:

lol, i had a 54mph li-po car.. Killed the li-polys though, and that motor wasnt really driveable, it was 47mph on road with a radar gun, old so it was probley off a little bit. It was driveable, when i put in the S04 though. I love the S04 and im going to be running it in my monster when it comes. You dont have to belive me about the speed part, i really dont care lol. There are pictures of that setup in the "new project" thread, i dont post mph numbers since no one belives them, so no point. But i said it, lol. I would love to get a Plasma hybrid made up, since im going to be running li poly in the monster, and according to ph2t, 27 turn + ferrite's + li poly = to much torque, and that was with a 16 tooth pinion wasnt it? Since the FET's im getting put in wouldnt withstand that ( 2x6 stack ) ill just throw my atomicmod's V2 in there, if it dosent sell that is.

backdrift, our point is that these cars will smoke any stock xmod that has li-ion's in it. This is the whole point of the exercise, to show those dickhead xmod cattle that li-ions are not the answer.....you can do much more by reducing all the losses (be it electrical or mechanical) first THEN upping the source voltage.

i honestly don't hate lithiums, i'm just not prepared to buy a new charger and batts.
