Showing off my new alloy rims!

Post by Sporttracguy »

I just got these in the mail a few days ago. They were all milled from solid billet alluminum and they just look awsome. They are quite pricy though ($50 for the set) I also picked up some other alloy parts but i dont have pics of those yet. (i purchased all these parts from atomicmods.com) I was having a problem with all my plastic rims, i kept stipping the centers so i decided alloy was the only way to go,, here are a few shots:

Those rims are nice man, but is it worth the $50? CJ has great prices on Alloy parts, and $1.00 shipping for anything over $24.99.

Those tires make your $50 wheels look like about $2.39 + tax. Cool lookin' wheels for sure, though.

yeah, those tires are due for replacement. They look a little hard core for a subaru but they work like no other tire ive used before. as you can see by the body damage im not exactly running on a smooth surface

All i gotta do is say, be easy with them.. No jumps, or hard running on bumpy surfaces.. Theres 3 people over at xmodworld that have bent them.

How's Radio Shack's alloys? They looked kinda rough, like maybe they were cast or something, but they did look more durable. Those seem thin across the face, seems like they'd bend easy.

Yep, thinner than i thought.. I was running them on some concrete and after running through a charge of just driving, no crashes or jumps i bent one of them. Put it in a vice with something to center it and i was able to get them back to normal but im going to need to be more careful... They look cool but they werent ment for any sort of driving lol

I cracked my Xmod alloy rims awhile back. I won't buy another set. Too flimsy.

I cracked in on a indoor hoop court. Clean, flat, and smooth.

See that's what I figured, cast BS. Machined ones would bend before they ever cracked.

... and they're charging $25 a set. F'in Radio Shack.

I honestly was going to post something about this when it happened, but it seemed as if no one picked them up, or was talkin' about them anywhere.

It was as if they almost were a myth. :-?
