Xmod EVO-T F-150
I picked up a New Xmod EVO Truck and all the upgrades a few days ago and finally had the time to put it together and snap some pics.

I got the motor upgrade too, but I forgot to put it in the pic. DOH!

Not a pose. Actual climbing action.
I have a little table-top vid too. Gotta get to puting it together.
Overall, the installation went good.
I installed:
It took me a little while to do all this. Especially since I'm used to breakin' down an OG Xmod.
I find it a bit more of a hassle to install upgrades, than in the previous gen. But this also is due to me not being that familiar with the new parts. I'm sure that, in time, it will definately become easier and a better car/truck to deal with, than the old gen's.
There are some parts that are a headache to deal with, having to remove more screws than the first gen to get into the front end to switch out the AWD. 10 0n the 1st and 14 on the 2nd. (I think I counted right. )
PRO's
The speed it good for stock.
Love the new motor hook-ups and gearing.
The placement of the crystal is better.
Battery placement.
Antenna mount is greatly improved and better placed. Simple, but effective.
Agility.
The ease of getting to the PCB has been demonstated by Ph2t already!!
The model or kit-likeness of the whole line. So many interchangable parts and options. Lower it, stock, raise it. Fast, slow, in-between. More to come too. I'm sure of it.
Screw Kyosho OL's. This ride rocks!!
CON's
The Offroad wheels rub the body when fully turned. Gotta fix that.
Xmod steering is still Xmod steering.
Same old TX. BS.
No memory for the trim settings. (Refer to prior statement.)
Body mounts could be better. Make more sense.
Orange?
The motor wire could be better. Not as stiff, more plyable.
Lack of GREEN!!
I'll try to have that little vid up soon.
I think I covered almost everything.
Later,
SG

nice man, there's something about the evo's that's sorta turned me into an addict, lol... I've got one evo chassis that I've partly trashed, got a mustang and bodykit comming off the bay, along with vxb evo bearings and the awd kit.
the sad thing is, I can't fucken wait!
lol, cool vid. looks like you need a nice, slow, bitchin' crawling motor.... yum!
ph2t.

Given the layout of the the EVO pcb within the evo chassis, I think an iwaver conversion will be quite easy.sg219 wrote:It'll pick the front end up some.cj wrote:I've got the H2 with the same lift kit and its big tires even rub a bit on the body. But does your F-150 do Wheelies?![]()
I like the new Xmods. Just want better diffs and a real TX.

Quality: It's an Xmod. Thats in the eye of the owner. I llike them and do think they will outlast an OL anyday. But as far as electronics, the OL wins because of its steering.Sporttracguy wrote:Man, thats pretty hot. Ive always been partial to the overland. How does the quality, suspension travel, ground clearance ect hold up to the overland?
STG
Suspension:The Xmod has it there too. I think its a better set-up and will pull off more stunts than an OL would. Plus, its 4WD!!!

Clearence: About the same I guess. I used to own an OL, sorta wish I still had it for comparison pics. But I didn't care for a 2wd truck.
Anyone got both? Take some ride height and clearence pics. Please.
