Radio Shack was thinking good when they designed it, but the pivoting rear end without suspension can get really annoying when you are just trying to run in your gravel driveway and the rear just pivots, differential gives power only to that wheel. I have looked into it, and you could take apart the 4 top screws that are in line with each other on either side of the pivot and use a piece of zipzap packaging, but i later found out that this would interfere with the body mounts unless some heavy milling was done to the plastic. Any ideas?

I was thinking the same thing just today.. I designed a part in a cad program that I might haggle code to mill. I printed it out and cut some plastic to test the dimensions for the screw holes, it works fine. I didnt have the cut outs for the body mount when I cut it from plastic.

Wow, just what i was thinking. A little complex to mill I would say, but it is a great way to test different ideas faster. Give us an update when you get a working one, this is going to be good.

Would making one from a styrene sheet work? It wouldn't be to hard to cut out and shape.

I dont know, is styrene strong? As long as it is strong and thin it doesnt have to be flexible.

The strength depends on how thick the sheet is. I don't think it would be under much stress anyways, since it would only be stressed when turning or crawling.

You are probably right, since the only reason the spring suspension doesnt move is because the pivot isnt under any resistance, and the stock springs are decently soft.

Well, mine doesnt really move that much due to fact that I have dirt stuck in there. I think this is a good solution to it. When I get back from my vacation I'll try to do something similar.
