Believe it or not, RcButler built that car.

Viperdout has already built a gen1 brushless, lets see a truck, no one has done that...a car has been proven already.

A truck would be better, since that live axle and locking the IRS would make for a more driveable xmod.

It's a waste of money, period. You can't get it to hook up for shit, even if you have tires made out of fucking bubble gum.

plus, you start running out of plastic gears, viper

if you had bubble gum tires, you could press the car down into the ground... or maybe give it a rolling start? haha... weird ideas in my head right now.

So you're saying the one you made was a waste of money?

Both my mamba kits found homes into xrays where they are much more
enjoyable and cheaper in the end. Evo is $59, xray is $75. The xray
requires less aftermarket parts to handle the power of the mamba.

The brushless xmod was great to show off that you can max out the mini
dyno almost instantly, but it wasnt usable. It ate tires(even on the dyno),
mangled diffs, broke a gpm rear axle cup and munched on a few rear
bevel gears. It lasted a couple weeks and then I got bored with
all the problems that stemmed from it.

Unless you already have a mamba kit, dont go out and buy one just for
an xmod. The plasmatomic is a better choice if you want to go fast.

Precisely. I could even leave strips with foams, which got boring. Mine also ate tires on the dyno, and I got covered with bits of rubber. I discovered I was actually hazing the dyno (for those not into cars or not familiar with the term, it's essentially burning out on a dyno, so your wheels are spinning faster than the dyno rollers).

My xmod is still together, and I did buy the mamba system for it, but it rarely gets driven. When it does, I drive it about 15 mph at most around my room. It handles quite well as long as you don't stomp on the throttle, but not nearly as well as my M18 (also has a mamba).

Edit: evoraptor, I think mine was a waste, but no one had ever done it, so I didn't know it'd be like it is. I'm saying, if anyone is thinking about trying it, don't bother, because it's too fast for fun.

Oh, wow. Well, at least those parts were owned by someone capable of using them for other projects and stuff. If it were a newb trying that just to impress friends, then it would be a complete waste of time and money. For you on the other hand, being the more experienced one, its just trial and error now, I guess, this being the error. lol
