Gen 1 body on an evo chassis?

Post by HACHI-RYOKU »

I was looking at a Gen 1 Corvette body. It's one of my favorite bodies. I want to mount it on my Xmod EVO AWD. I also want to pick up a carbon center shaft.

Do I need to pick up the "long" xmod evo shaft to use with this body? I know it takes a long xmod gen 1 shaft, but the shaft sizes are different on the evos.

The Corvette is a gen 1 long body. Every other gen 1 body besdides the NSX and RSX are considered long bodies. Anybody else use a long body on a xmod evo? What center shaft did you use?

Its the same size body as the Evo 8, and it should fit without any problems. All I've done was lower mine.

I just re-read your post, and I forgot to tell you, the Evo does not have any driveshaft at first, until you get the AWD kit. Then it should come with 3 sizes of driveshaft, with the Corvette using the middle length one.

Welp, heres mine.

Thanx. You're the poop. :-)

Also, thanx Bigg. That's one of the best prices I've seen on those.
