I'm sorry guys... I've noticed a drop in the Xmods arena so I became skeptical about the first production run. But my ass is backed in a corner so I'm gunna make ONE batch so very limited quantities ( :tits:)

Plus my camera died night before last :? The lens doesn't transmit to the camera anymore, go figure. It just happened.

I'm such an ass, here is the original picture from the teaser pics

This is the under side of the chassis, MAXXA is to be read from the bottom.
This is primarily a li-ion chassis, but it can easily support lipos. The prongs on the trident are used to secure the zip-ties. Or you can use double-sided tape. For you drifters you can use 2AAA li-ions for extreme weight-loss.

An upper-deck is not needed as this is not aluminum like the stilleto. The CF will flex rather than bend. Rather this minimalised addition is simply a PCB brace. This keeps your PCB suspended above the batteries of choice.

No need for a tierod guard as the chassis deals with this issue.

The Li-ion slots are mounted as far back as possible for those of us who have RWD. More weight in the rear = more traction at the drive wheels. And we all know the torque that lithium power can generate

If weight loss is your aim then you've come to the right place. This chassis can accomodate ALL Xmod bodies and wheel bases.

Not pictured: 4 stand-offs

Did I mention I have plans of giving away one or two as prizes??? Not concrete yet, but I like to spread the joy :-)

Any guesstimations on the pricing of this beauty? It's looking really tasty, and I know I want one.

Well, the prototype is kinda installed. This design still needs to be reworked before market production.

So here come the pics...

This shows how you can use TRIDENT to run a home made 6cell pack. Not ready for the risks of lithium power, this is your best bet for all out speed. Just use a normal hobby grade charger rated for 6+ cells.

Image

Here you can see the gain in ride height. This is my only EVO chassis, so sorry, no comparisons.

Image

I don't have any li-ions but this AA sized battery fully illustrates how TRIDENT is used with Li-ions.

Image

Here is the bottom view of the chassis, as you can see it is NOT too wide, as some of you have feared.

Image

And again a 3/4 view of the chassis. As you can see from the below picture, the PCB sits in relatively the same position as stock.

Image

---------------------------------

Well, I don't have access to a proper scale so I can give weight comparisons. How ever, I can tell you that TRIDENT with 2 AA sized batteries and a body weigh about the same as a stock EVO w/o it's batteries. The 6-cell arrangement is only slightly heavier. Barely noticeble.

So you can keep your questions coming. TRIDENT is coming soon!!

To the pimps, this was a Generic post, I didn't really feel like typing 2 or 3 different things :-)
