he just converts ASC's and iwaver shells to fit the xmods... honestly i think "why should i spend 50 plus shipping, when i have all the tools to do it myself"... plus i'm a perfectionist, and i know i can do everything to make the bodies fit just as well. and only cost me $35 shipped at the most.
for those who don't convert their own shells though, i guess $50 is worth it. for the converted ASC's.

50 bones is definately too high IMO. I could convert a mini-z body too for half that. In fact I think those mini-z and iwaver bodies would probably get pretty beat up with those heavy x-mod chassis. The inertia from the heavier car would make it slam against the wall that much harder. Those shells weren't made to take that kind of punishment.
Not a bad idea though. I'm sure he's got some customers.
