Xmods out, Propulse in.
Michael.mt2k over at TRC reported in (He's an RS employee) that in a recent company meeting employees were told that the Xmods are being replaced wtih a new series called Propulse.
Further details are sketchy, but they're supposed to be a little larger in scale (not known by how much) and the series will kick off with a Car and a Truck.
That's all he's got for now. He also mentioned that if indeed the new Titan and Scion Tc see the light of day, it'll probably be a pre-Christmas release to blow the supplies out.
...Oh my!

Googling makes this info sound a bit sketchy... http://www.propulse.se/
I'd like to see them tho. Maybe with mini-z quality elecs, even if they aren't very durable.

Well, propulse is real...
www.propulse.com
1:18 offroader
FM radio
BBs everywhere
Aluminum center shaft
Oil-filled shocks
370 motor
rim/tyre upgrades
alloy shock upgrades
separate RX ESC and Servo (3 wire)
Comes in a buggy and a truck, the buggy seems to be my choice. I'd pick one up depending on the price.

I'm glad to see RS making the leap to a true hobby grade car. Its very similar to an RC18, but they are not the same from what I gathered. This actually has a true dual bellcrank steering setup, and an adjustable spring servo saver, plus a few other things that could potentially make this better than a RC18. Plus it comes with a FM radio. One the optiones that got my interest is the dual motor mount. They're saying the price point will be about $150.
I would be more interested if I didn't already have a couple 1/18th scale cars, and the Micro T wasn't around the corner, but I still think its cool. Who's knows maybe I'll find someone with one of these to race with.

It looks cool, but I'm not biting.
There would have to be a local club running these things to remotely get me interested in spending $150.00 for it (then more for the upgrades.)
I was originally having trouble bringing myself to pay $50.00 for an X-Mod to play with, that's why all of the ones I got were on sale or couponed or both.
