My reverse NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post by trekbikedude »

Ok so I was being stupid and I have 2 evos both with the nelly evo. The nelly is soldered to the motor. I hooked a battery (7.2v to see how fast the wheels would spin) you know a 7.2 volt battery that goes in hobby grade rc cars like stampedes and rustlers (that kind). And now I have forward but I have no reverse. I like reverse. All the wires are soldered correctly and I had reverse before this happened.

How can I fix this?

Thanks for any help.

Well, that's the problem right there :-)

I'm thinking you blew your reverse FET, did you run the 7.2V through the whole receiver board ? Or just through the nelly ? If it's through the nelly, I'm not sure, I think a nelly board can handle 7.2V, although I could be wrong... :-o

trek, you're not making much sense. Where did you hookup this battery? To the EVO xmod? OR to the motor directly whilst it was connected to the rest of the EVO circuit?
People are mean to you because you're a fucking idiot.

it was connect to the motor

Post by trekbikedude »

the wires were connected to the motor from the nelly.

I put 7.2 volts to the motor while the nelly was hooked up.

I have no reverse now.

I think you should get a new motor. See if it works with out the nelly, then solder the nelly onto the new motor and see what happens.

Do you have any spares that you can throw in to see if it works?

And don't use that battery on an xmod agan :-o

no.

It is not the motor man.

Something went wrong with the electronics.

I have no brake or no reverse.

well you've blown the reverse fets. you can either get them replaced, buy a new nelly or go with an internal fet stack.

unfortunately you found out the hard way that you should never test a motor while it's wired up to an esc.
i used to be cool

which mosfets?

Post by trekbikedude »

So which mosfets are the forward mosfets and which mosfets are the reverse ones? Because I have extra fets and I don't know which ones to take off/ put on. Can someone give me a tutorial on assembling a nelly?

Thanks, John

You just asked the same question twice.. why ? :?

Anyway, have a look for a FET on the board, that is damaged, it might have a bubble on it, or a burn mark, as I'm not sure what's what, that should find you the answer. :-o
